I

Page history last edited by alw74@... 3 years, 2 months ago

“I am Me." I am a part of you and history. In all the world, there is no one else exactly like me. I was born from my mother and father who were born from theirs and so forth, who are all intricately connected to many other people who have qualities similar to mine. Everything that comes out of me is authentically mine, because I alone chose it. Other people's ideas have influenced my own. -- I own everything about me: my body, my feelings, my mouth, my voice, all my actions, whether they be to others or myself.  "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) I own my fantasies, my dreams, my hopes, my fears."  I am a part of everything; the stream of text that connects us all. In the end, I own nothing at all. But if I don't own it (and it is unfaithful to me) nobody else does either, or ever did. I am You and You are Me.

I enjoy this critical lexia, an astonishing representation of some of my favorite lexia from the original text. I like the integration of different sources of thinly related pieces of work, the division based on text formatting, and particularly the tie-in to a biblical passage that is relevant.
In terms of the relation to the original lexia, it comments on the sense of ownership, rather than the highly sensual qualities.
however, this focus on control versus the visceral aspect also links this wiki lexia better to its tag-line in the opening page than a broader focus.
