Character name: Janus Jester

Based after Janus--the two-faced god of beginnings and endings--and the concept of the jester. Janus started out as an unreliable character and habitual liar. He does, however, care for his sister and expresses his concern for her increased involvement in the revolution. He enters it peripherally as a manner of keeping tabs on Janua and the people she chooses to make company with. Interaction was only made with class participants. However, the recently released video blog of Janus' thoughts on life and everything may spark some discussion

Presence:

1 youtube video I wanted to use this as the bulk of janus' idealism. He thinks most things in life are not worth doing, unless they're bringing some sort of immediate amusement. I may break this up into three shorter pieces, and intend on re-shooting it under better conditions.

facebook page This has most of janus' social contact. Specifically with Carly's sister character, Janua. I used it to bounce ideas off of people and to take tabs on the social situations.

flickr account this is really a resource for the back-end so that I would know where my pictures were all the time. I chose fairly obvious pictures of Janus' head and venician carnival masks. most of which were available on flickr already. I also included some pictures minus my face. I'm still a little self-conscious about diving in whole hog, and have had a number of reaally interesting ethical arguements with my girlfriend, who is now no longer conversable on the subject.

used twitter and identi.ca in an attempt to perpetuate self-contradictory ideology, in the end the class used facebook more.

looks good man. I wasnt sure where you were going with this character in the beginning. I think facebook is a bettter appropriate for this assignment since the BigPlot people only use facebook anymore.. thye like gave up on it. in fact we the class did more than they did in the past few months. except for them setting up the whole thing ;)

I think that was sort-of the point, though. To see if they could create a self-perpetuating cycle of content.
